The European Geothermal Congress 2025 (EGC) marked an important milestone for EAPOSYS and SwissDGS, highlighting concrete progress toward the deployment and industrialization of Advanced Geothermal Systems (AGS) as a key component of a fair and resilient energy transition.
SwissDGS: AGS Deployement in Practice
EAPOSYS exhibited with SwissDGS, the first implementation of its Project Management Company (PMC) business model, realized through a local joint venture with leading Swiss engineering firms Amberg Group and Basler & Hofmann. Enabled by the Migros Pioneer Fund, SwissDGS aims to develop and realize AGS projects in Switzerland, translating innovation into concrete project delivery.
Sharing perspectives at Swiss Day
During Swiss Day at EGC 2025, EAPOSYS CEO Naomi Vouillamoz presented the SwissDGS / EAPOSYS closed-loop geothermal model, addressing both the technical architecture and the business framework supporting AGS deployment in Switzerland.
She also participated in a round table and technical session alongside Swiss and European experts, contributing to discussions on Swiss framework conditions, recent advances in deep geothermal technologies, and the role of closed-loop systems in delivering reliable, sustainable heat for communities using existing and proven drilling technologies.
Sharing perspectives at Swiss Day
EAPOSYS contributed to the scientific program with two poster presentations, reflecting its commitment to addressing the technical, environmental and societal dimensions of deep geothermal energy:.
- Sustainable Finances for (Geothermal) Energy as a Common Good
(Patrick Scherrer, Naomi Vouillamoz, Stephanie Vetsch) - Energy–Environment–Social Balance of Deep Geothermal Systems (DGS)
(Naomi Vouillamoz, Geertjan van Og — Well Engineering Partners)
