EAPOLAB

Our Scalable Model for Localized E.AGS Deployment

EAPOLABs are regional implementation platforms established to translate advanced geothermal innovation into operational energy systems. Structured as joint ventures or strategic partnerships with trusted engineering and infrastructure firms, each EAPOLAB serves as the local deployment arm of EAPOSYS.

We developed the EAPOLAB model to solve a fundamental challenge in deep geothermal: while AGS technology is universal in principle, its deployment is inherently local. Every project must align with regional geology, permitting frameworks, stakeholder landscapes, and energy market dynamics.

Turning our technology into local energy infrastructure

By working through EAPOLABs, we:

  • Localize execution while maintaining centralized IP, software, and engineering leadership;
  • Accelerate regulatory and stakeholder alignment by leveraging regional credibility and networks;
  • De-risk deployment by ensuring local ownership, operational capacity, and feedback loops from real-world projects;
  • Enable replicability, with a scalable template that can be adapted across jurisdictions and markets.

Each EAPOLAB is responsible for planning, permitting, and execution of AGS projects, with full access to EAPOSYS tools (EAPOSIM, EAPOFIN), engineering support, and system design. This structure allows EAPOSYS to remain capital-efficient and globally scalable while ensuring that AGS deployments are regionally viable, bankable, and socially anchored.

SwissDGS

Our First EAPOLAB Deployment Platform in Switzerland

SwissDGS GmbH is our first operational EAPOLAB, established to deploy Advanced Geothermal Systems (AGS) in the Swiss market. Founded in 2024 as a joint venture between EAPOSYS, Basler & Hofmann, and Amberg Group, SwissDGS translates EAPOSYS innovation into on-the-ground energy infrastructure.

This regional platform was created under the EAPOLAB model—a scalable, partnership-based framework for AGS deployment that combines EAPOSYS’s proprietary technology and system design with local engineering, permitting, and stakeholder management.

Why SwissDGS?
  • Strategic fit: Switzerland’s energy transition goals require resilient, baseload, and low-footprint heat solutions. SwissDGS is positioned to deliver just that—with closed-loop geothermal tailored to local needs.
  • Strong local partnerships: Basler & Hofmann brings decades of engineering and infrastructure experience across Switzerland. Amberg Group contributes deep expertise in underground construction and geomechanics. EAPOSYS leads the system design, modeling, and innovation stack.
  • End-to-end capability: SwissDGS is responsible for permitting, stakeholder engagement, and execution of the first AGS projects in Switzerland—starting with feasibility and permitting work already underway in 2025.

Leadership

Jon Mengiardi

CEO

Civil engineer with 30+ years at Basler & Hofmann; brings extensive project and organizational experience.

Benoit Garitte

Head of Sales

Subsurface specialist with a background at Nagra and Amberg, focused on deep drilling and thermal behavior.

Naomi Vouillamoz

EAPOSYS Canada

Delivering Closed Loop Geothermal for Canada’s Remote, Industrial, and Clean Heat Markets

EAPOSYS Canada Inc. is the North American branch of EAPOSYS and our second EAPOLAB implementation platform in our global deployment strategy. Based in Calgary, Alberta, the company was incorporated in 2024 to adapt and deliver closed-loop AGS solutions in Canadian and Arctic contexts.

EAPOSYS Canada operates under the same principle as all EAPOLABs: combining centralized technology leadership with regional execution capacity. It is designed to support geothermal deployment in markets where energy resilience, decarbonization, and remote access are critical—and where closed-loop systems offer a low-risk, scalable path forward.

Why Canada?

  • Unique need for off-grid heat: Large portions of Canada—especially Northern and Indigenous communities—face high energy costs and unreliable supply chains for fossil fuels. AGS offers a path to secure, local, and low-carbon heat infrastructure.
  • Policy alignment: Canadian provinces are investing in clean heat and energy security. EAPOSYS Canada is positioned to support public and private stakeholders in meeting their climate and infrastructure goals.
  • Strong industrial base: The region has world-class drilling expertise and equipment, ideal for adapting AGS to deep, hard-rock formations.

Local Engagement

  • Indigenous-led development: EAPOSYS Canada is actively building partnerships with Indigenous communities to ensure projects align with local sovereignty, values, and long-term benefits.
  • Ecosystem leadership: EAPOSYS co-founded the Canadian Geothermal Innovation Alliance (CGIA) in early 2025—a startup-led platform advancing next-gen geothermal through knowledge exchange, policy advocacy, and demonstration projects.
  • Growing partnerships: The team is engaging with regional developers, utilities, and governments to identify first deployment sites and build the execution ecosystem.

A Gateway for Scalable Impact

EAPOSYS Canada is not just a subsidiary—it is the launchpad for geothermal innovation in North America. By applying the EAPOLAB model in a high-potential, high-need region, EAPOSYS Canada is advancing the goal of energy as a common good: fair, local, and resilient.
