EAPOSYS was honored to participate in GTS 2024 EU in Munich, organized by the Offshore Network.
In addition to chairing the first conference day, Patrick Scherrer advocated for recognizing energy as a common good, essential to human solidarity, societal progress and environmental sustainability.
As a local, low-carbon and sovereign energy resource, deep geothermal can contribute to this vision, while creating opportunities to transfer technologies, expertise and industrial capabilities from the oil & gas sector.
Measuring what really matters
EAPOSYS CEO Naomi Vouillamoz presented perspectives on Energy Return on Energy Invested (EROI) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), highlighting the need for greater clarity and transparency in how the sustainability of energy systems is assessed.
The transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy infrastructure will require significant energy and resources. It should therefore also be an opportunity to rethink how we produce, evaluate and ultimately consume energy and resources.
