Preparing the Company for Its Next Stage
As EAPOSYS prepares for its Series A and the demonstration and deployment of its Advanced Geothermal Systems, we are also preparing the organization behind the technology.
Over the past year, this has included a broader effort to strengthen our corporate foundations, clarify governance roles and ensure that our Board evolves alongside the company.
As part of this process, EAPOSYS undertook an independent Board assessment with the Startup Board Academy (SBA), providing a structured review of our current governance and the capabilities needed for the next phase of development.
In parallel, Naomi Vouillamoz completed the Startup Board Academy course in Zurich in March 2026, further developing her understanding of Board responsibilities and governance best practices as both CEO, co-founder and Board member.
Evolving the Board
Following this work, the Board decided to move toward a more professional and increasingly independent governance structure, bringing in additional expertise relevant to EAPOSYS’ next stage: from geothermal and energy infrastructure to project development, financing and company scaling.
As part of this transition, Patrick Voegeli is taking over as Chairman of the Board, bringing his experience in corporate leadership, strategy and governance to the role.
Patrick Scherrer, who has accompanied EAPOSYS since its early development, is stepping back from the Board and continuing his involvement as Senior Advisor. His long-standing contribution to the company’s strategic and economic thinking remains an important part of EAPOSYS’ journey.
Recruiting New Independent Board Members
EAPOSYS has now started the recruitment of two independent Board members, bringing complementary expertise aligned with the company’s next stage of development.
The first profile will strengthen the Board’s industrial and project-delivery expertise, with substantial experience in oil & gas, drilling and the structuring of large, technically complex energy infrastructure projects. This includes navigating strategic partnerships, major contracts, regulatory environments and international project development.
The second profile will bring financing and scale-up experience, ideally having accompanied an energy or deeptech company from startup through institutional fundraising and into a more structured organization. Experience across energy generation and distribution, district heating, utilities and commercial development is particularly relevant.
Beyond their respective expertise, EAPOSYS is looking for independent Board members who share the company’s long-term mission and commitment to responsible growth, and who can contribute constructively to the dynamics between founders, investors, industrial partners and the Board.
Together, these appointments are intended to give EAPOSYS the industrial, financial and governance experience needed as we move toward Series A financing, full-scale demonstration and commercial deployment.
